At the going down of the sun .....

We said goodbye to our dear friend Ed today.  He died peacefully after a long and brave struggle with cancer. Ed was a man of many talents and interests, to name but a few: brilliant mathematician, an excellent musician, having been to the Birmingham School of Music, playing tuba in the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and then having his own very successful 'oompah' band. A wonderful raconteur,  keen glider pilot and photographer, and much loved by many.

The Eulogies at the Crem given by one of Ed's sisters and his partner L were wonderful and gave us a much broader insight into Ed's interesting and adventurous life.

At Ed's request there was a party at The Gliding Club.  It was a great evening with lots of friends recounting  and remembering so many precious memories of our dear friend.

RIP dear friend.

Extra:  my shot of Ed on the Long Mynd. We went walking with our cameras and this was my blip on 28th August 2017.
