Klubb tarn - Klubbsjön
Today's walk took us through town and out to the beach at Smitingen (extra). The stormy winds are blowing out to sea and have flattened the sand out, leaving it completely free of footprints etc.
Once we left the sandy beach we walked around the small lake and back to the beach, a fairly short walk of about 5 kms.
As we walked around the tarn the sun was mostly shining, and it was around 17°C. However, it was VERY windy. At the start of the walk the trees around us were being so thrown about that we even considered if it was too dangerous to be in the forest, in case trees started to be blown over! However, in the end we decided the chances of us ending up under a tree were statistically improbable, and we carried on. We survived! As we walked around the tarn in places we could hardly stand, and in other places there was virtually no wind at all. Fortunately we stopped for coffee in one of those sheltered spots!
In places the path climbs up a bit above the water and today's blip come from one such spot. This high rock is one of the favourite swimming spots in the summer. It seems strange that three months from now we could be happily swimming in this ice covered lake!
This is actually a backblip from three days ago. yesterday's and today's blip are also in place.
