Gone Up North

My favorite blip-spotter found this treasure in the center medium of Rt. 301 in Bowie. He found a pull-off on the shoulder and we walked up the overgrown driveway and stepped over a downed fence to get a closeup look of the house. It has Christmas lights and a wreath decorating it. Looking in the front window, you can see a sign hanging from the blinds that says “Gone Up North.”
Today was the opening day of Cache Across Maryland. We spent the day driving and hiking and found three of the required 10 caches. One of the best things about the event is running into other geocachers. The extra is of us with our friend, Dave, at one of the CAM caches. I have no idea how many miles we have hiked with him over the past 20+ years, but it is always fun to find him at a cache.
