My topsy-turvy life

"Owen's Daddy"

Owen's class had a field course at Preston Montford scheduled for today but, because of his broken arm and the associated risk assessment, they weren't sure about him going along unless somebody went with him...say no more!

We actually got there early before the rest of the class so we got to have a quick explore (and a photo). It was a really good day looking for creatures in various habitats around the site, grassland, woodland, and pond. We found plenty of woodlice, a milipede, and even a dragonfly nymph and I did get a bit of "Owen's Daddy" questioning. I even inadvertently made the class photos of the day.

I have so much respect for the teachers though. Lunchtime, in particular, was carnage with at least 6 children in tears at one point or another. Thankfully not Owen this time.
