Tip me up and pour me out

It was past time to up date the Rectory tea pot (a vital piece of ecclesiastical kit) but would the nice spotty one in the shop actually pour? Much to the bewilderment of the young shop assistant we asked to take it to their sink & try it out! poured beautifully - so anyone for tea?
