the claw

Rowan and I went into town to see the Enlightenment exhibition at the Historical Museum. Today was the last chance to see it. I very much enjoyed the exhibition.

Afterwards we visited a cafe near the Brandenburg Gate and walked through the Tiergarten to Bahnhof Zoo. I was just saying to Rowan that I want to go looking for turtles when we spotted one sunning itself on a log (2nd extra). The herons at the zoo were very tolerant of us getting rather close. They were more interested in getting the fish for the pelicans. We stopped at one of our favourite beer gardens  for beer and chips.
