Eye to Eye

Last Year’s Baby Bouquetins …

… have survived this relatively easy winter above Lac Tanay (still frozen - extra) on the flanks of the Grammont which I climbed early this morning. It was fantastic to see a herd of 14 big males and this little group of 2 females and their youngsters. The views from the Grammont are spectacular, Lake Geneva on one side and the big Alpine Peaks on the other. A couple of extras of the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. What a privilege to be there before the many others who were also climbing up to enjoy these same views. Now I am very tired and feeling the difficulty of keeping up.

I hope you have had a good weekend too.
