Well, the sun was shining today, and the chilly breeze had abated. Not gone completely. But gone enough for me to go round the Links without my hat this morning. Which tempted both of us to go without our woolly hats later when we went out.
WRONG! In places, the wind was perishing.
But in our front garden it was just lovely. Chrissy came back from the gym with J for a coffee, then Hazel looked in for a chat. It was like during COVID, when we had the best spring ever - sitting out in the sun every morning, with people popping by.
We took a fancy for an ice cream from Mary’s Milk Bar in the Grassmarket. I reckoned it would be relatively warm there. Sunny, and sheltered.
WRONG! It was sunny, and mobbed. But a trifle cold.
We walked up Victoria Street to our bus stop. 16 minutes to go.
So we walked to the next stop. 9 minutes to go.
So we walked to the next stop. 3 minutes to go.(9, 281 steps!)
Back home, we were able to spend an hour or so in the warmth of our sunny, sheltered back garden.
Here’s Archie hoping for the last bit of ice cream.
