Brighson

I had a few hours to myself while both girls worked, so i drove down to a beach about 10 minutes away.   Had a bit of a walk, but mostly i sat and looked at the ocean!

Then Morgan, Bronwyn, Dave, Brighson and I went to visit some wonderful dear friends from our time in Muskoka.   Simon and Karen lived about half hour away from us, in a similar setting.  Simon was a glass blower, Karen was a teacher.  We were great friends and spent a lot of time over the many years we lived there.  Their 2 sons, Kyle and Liam (now in the 30s) moved out to Victoria a few years ago and my daughters have been in touch with them from time to time.  Karen and Simon have also moved out here a few months ago.  The kids all went to the same day care when they were from the age of 2-5 i guess!  So to sit with these wonderful young adults was just such a treat!  Liam and his wife invited us all to their home and we spent a wonderful few hours with wine, food and of course we did a lot of reminiscing, so many great stories to tell our offspring.  I haven't seen Karen and Simon for about 4-5 years...but as is so much the case with old established friendships, it was like no time had passed at all.   Except of course what we all look like :)

This is Brighson climbing the rocks just outside Liam's home....how he loves to climb and has been rock climbing quite a lot.
