Starling ( Sturnus vulgaris )

I didn't have the best of nights, not entirely unexpected after surgery.  It wasn't pain that was the problem there was only slight discomfort.  Sleeping as I would normally, on my left side was out of the question.  So I ended up sleeping in a semi recumbent position which meant my sleep was fitful.  So I took the morning slowly, well to be honest I have taken the day slowly.

In the afternoon we were sat out in the garden, eating ice cream.  As always the cameras were to hand on the table.  I saw a bird up in the Silver Birch.  At first I thought it was a Blackbird, through the lens I could see it was a Starling.It was a long way off so this is a heavy crop.  in my 11 years of blipping  I have only posted 6 shots of starlings.  so not the best of shots but it has to be today's blip.
