Road Race

The Annual Alfaz - Albir Road race took place this morning.
Runners started at the Sports Centre on Alfaz, ran through the village of Albir and up to the Lighthouse …. and then back again
The distance is 10 miles

Before the Race started…. the Local Police and the volunteer Public Protection group, set up barriers to close off roads…. and did their best to prevent cars from parking on the route!

The village of Albir was eerily quiet this morning…. with no traffic and very few parked cars!

By lunch time… we were back to normal… and the restaurants were crowded with lunch time diners sitting on terraces in the sun!
