Green fingers.....

We have a very active Allotments Association in our town, and today they had an open day. It was very busy, half of the town went along to see the allotments, to buy their produce and to support them. It was a lovely warm and dry day, which made it all the more pleasant.

Quite a few of our friends have an allotments, and as well as buying some produce (the rhubarb and ginger jam looks delicious) we were given potatoes, courgettes, parsley, it was so nice.

Spent most of the afternoon there, chatting and viewing, and it was very pleasant. My picture is of a very small part of the allotment of Margaret and Jim, who spend most of their time up there...... Margaret says that her windows at home never get washed in the summertime. Have to say neither do mine, but not because of an this, we are away walking Scotland!
