Seattle Asian Art Museum

Located in the Olmsted Volunteer Park, this was SAM’s original home. This historic Art Deco 1933 building was restored during a three- year closure, reopening in 2021. The Art Deco. Metalwork at the entrance was cleaned and fully restored. The camels out front are copies. The originals are inside the “new” SAM downtown. Yes, these replicas are a popular site for photo ops.
