Glorious Dereliction

Saturday. A bright, fresh April morning, with a bit of mist early on, and then clear blue skies and sun later. Vanessa is working in Folkestone today, and Milo is also at work this morning. Monty also went out for a long early walk, so the house was quiet. I left early to see if I could catch the dawn colours and sunrise over the landscape, but I realised I’d left it too late; the light was already quite harsh. Time for Plan B… I remembered the derelict shed near Appledown Way, which has wonderful corrugated metal and rust textures, and is covered in colourful graffiti. It did not take me long to drive over that way, and this time I explored the interior of the old shack.
