All about the light At Baddesley Clinton today.

Stephen drove us to Baddesley Clinton National Trust this morning. The weather is just so stunning at the moment. Wall to wall sunshine and azure clear skies. It was fairly quiet and the indoor café not crowded.
Most people were sitting in the enclosed courtyard next to the café where there are wooden tables and chairs set out, having a drink or a snack. We had a scone and jam each at lunchtime, with a coffee.
I managed a walk by the pools and into the walled garden. There were several benches along the way which I took advantage of to rest a bit. We didn’t go into the Elizabethan Manor House today with its moated entrance. We know it so well!
It won’t load my extras at the moment as I am now in the summerhouse where there isn’t an internet connection and it wouldn’t do it.
But I will add them later once back in the house.
Hard to choose which ones!
The blossom was glorious, so were the borders filled with Spring flowers in the walled garden. The light and shadows so crystal clear.
Beautiful Camellias of pink, and red, alongside the path alongside the moat.
Some people were enjoying picnics.
I have never seen as much glorious blossom in the hedges along the roadsides and in gardens as I have this Spring.
The Blackthorn is like white froth.
Alongside the wild pear and cherry.
There was a ground frost early morning but it didn’t affect any of the flowering shrubs. My Magnolia Stellata being one of them.
Soon be time for tea.
Days like these are a relief from the news.
