ROC Bunker

This Bunker was constructed on top of a hill in Redditch in 1963.  It was an underground construction to be used by the Royal Observers Corp in their observation of activity in the Cold War.  These bunkers were top secret.  This one was only used for about 5 years.  Since then, thanks to sand excavation, a large proportion of the bunker has become visible and rather derelict.I'd like to know more about it really.

There are some fabulous views from on top of the hill where it is existing.  I am told the sunsets from up there are particularly impressive.

An interesting part of the local history.  Who knew such things existed!
