magpie with a mouthful

At first glance I thought this magpie was carrying something soft for lining its nest. On closer examination, it looks like a filed mouse in its mouth! So then I looked up on almighty Google if magpies eat meat...yes they do.Then I researched further to learn if they eat roadkill or actually hunt. Yes they they do.
I've learned something today!
