Evacuees at National Memorial Arboretum

Today we drove to the National Memorial Arboretum en route to a holiday cottage stay for a few days,

I have visited before and find it so interesting with such diverse memorials . I don’t recall seeing this one re the evacuees before…such detail, one little girl, on the left, even has a teddy bear in her hand. 
The extras show a memorial to submariners and the other brightly coloured one is a Naval Service memorial for all aspects of the navy.

Such blue skies again and we were surprised there were so few people there…possibly because the schools in this area have not broken up for the holidays yet.

The NT house we are staying in is great…a threshing barn which has been converted in just the last couple of years so all mod cons and spacious.
