Capital adventures

Blossom

Another traditional spring photo.

There were funny noises during the night that woke me up.  Did I imagine them?  Whatever, I was awake early and then off to the pool.  It was NOT a good swim.  there were too many people in the faster slow lane - the grunter, the octopus, the backward splasher.  It was really difficult to keep on track going up and down the lanes, especially with folk who don't/can't look where they are going.  But I did my 45 minutes.  The early frost had lifted by the time I came out.

Home, I had breakfast and made leek and tattie soup and waited for 10 a.m.  I managed to enrol on next term's classes ok and then had the meeting with E and K about the interviews.  Interesting discussion.

It was full on sun by that time so I headed to the garden, in shorts and t-shirt.  Decided to hoe rather than hand weed, but I didn't do too much.  Spent the afternoon sitting in the sun (which felt really hot) keeping the tan topped up, sewing and following the news about the stock market.  Don't panic seems to be the watchword.

It was pretty quiet outside, apart from the bees, though I did see the helicopter from the King's Flight go over (not with the King as he was heading to Italy) and heard the new baby, who was very restrained.

Once back in the house after 6 did some tidying and had tea,  Felt like a very relaxing day.
