I've had another day when almost nothing non-medical has happened. Illness is so boring to experience or relate. Comedy highlight was NHS111 asking me if I was more confused than usual - what do they know? I played it straight, resisting my usual response to such questions: 'If you're not confused, you're not paying attention'; know your audience

MrsM had a birthday. She got cards, messages, facetime, a visit-with-cake, love, and a recording of a grandson saying 'happy birthday', if you have ears to hear. From me, she got a lot of demands for care and support. This is an outrage; justice will be done
