Knots and Sap.

OOPS!!! Mea Culpa.  I did it exactly one month ago to the Date.
That said I can see changes?

That always used to amuse me.  The Fire Service had a series of "Tests" for equipment.  The most frequent was, obviously, the Quarterly Test.  In those far-off days before the dawn of time, we had Wooden Roof-Ladders; so did I, in my "Fiddle" as a Chimney Sweep.
(Aside)  Is/was it only the Fireservice had "Fiddles" OR when were Fiddles re-Christened "Side-Hussles" and WHY?  More "Amerification", or just the language morphing with the passage of time?
The thing which, perpetually, amused me? One of the phrases we had to check.  "Free from knots, Sap and incipient Flaws.  Realistically IF there were NO knots in January, OR Sap, I put it to you, members of the Jury it's unlikely to have developed either between January and April.
However, an incipient Flaw is a Nag of another hue.
Where, you might ask, does this fit in?  Well, since the offending affliction was spotted in '22 and diagnosed in '24; and is still present in '25 I thought I'd better keep an Eye on it.
