Wildlife
Having posted the crown imperial fritillary a few days ago I thought I’d show the snake’s head variety today. I planted several a few years ago but so far an only a couple have emerged.
They are so different and smaller but have the fascinating patters on the flower. It goes by many names including the leper lily apparently because the flower resembled the bell carried by lepers.
Only afterwards did I spot the insect on the stem above the flower head.
An even nicer day today so managed more trimming time in the garden.
