2025 Saturday — Spring Luncheon

Here's the photos and story from today. Mr. Fun & I enjoyed this event immensely.

Early this morning was the monthly men's breakfast and late morning was the Women's Spring Luncheon. The tables were decorated with a variety of beautiful bright spring colors and mirrored centerpieces with beautiful plants. Numerous times I have been to a women's luncheon with the gals of Morro Bay Pres Church, so I knew this was going to be fun, and it was.

The ministry team has an inside connection to the best caterer in all the land. The delicious food was served by the men. When lunch was finished, we learned about the variety of mission ministries that the women support thru the funds raised by rummage sales presented several times each year.

Then the Ukeladies, which is an award winning ukulele band, led us in meaningful music. The best ingredient of the day was the people and all their voices combining in laughter, conversation, encouragement, and wonderful camaraderie.

Several weeks ago, I was asked to be the luncheon speaker, to give my testimony with my favorite Bible verse woven thru my message. Spring is about renewal and my story, actually our story, is about the miracle God did when He invited the two of us into His family and to accept Jesus's free gift of salvation. It's a story that started a long time ago and it isn't finished yet. I told about God's development and growth in our lives with Ephesians 2:10 as the theme and "masterpiece & workmanship" the main focus.

My desire is that our story reminds others that they also have a story and encourages them to use their unique gifts and talents to serve others and make a positive impact in their families, neighborhoods, and communities. The room was filled with friends and women who care for and pray for one another. Jesus was there today too.
