Portia enjoying the sun

Now the weather is warm and sunny, she has become an outdoor cat. Especially when I’m outside too, gardening, reading or sitting doing nothing. I took this quick blip of her in the morning light.
After lunch I went to see my friends R and S, who are Portia’s original owners. They gave her to me 8 years ago, when my dear cat Tommy died. They needed to rehome her because they had two large dogs, including a lurcher, which wanted to chase her, and worse. I was SO LUCKY that they decided on this, she has been a delight and pleasure from day one. R and S have returned to Bristol after about 9 years in a very quiet mountain location in Wales. They enjoyed it, but now want to live where there are buses , cinemas, and perhaps more NHS provision. It’s wonderful for me to have two dear friends back in the city. They loved the pic of Portia and are coming over to see her soon. It will be interesting to see what she makes of them.
In the evening I saw Mr Burton - Toby Jones is superb as the teacher who helped the Welsh miner’s son become a Shakespearean actor. Lesley Manville also stars, I do like her.
