Aubretia

I decided on a walk but waited for the mist to clear so didn't set out as early as planned.  I bumped into C enroute (must be serendipitous as I was just walking past his lane as he drove out?).  He asked if I had time for coffee and we passed a very pleasant hour catching up.  He is the father of No.2's oldest friend.  He lost his wife to Leukemia when his son was only 4.5 years old so had a very difficult few years but then married the au pair!!  Nice chap although I think he was a bit confused by my 'covid rant!'.

I continued my walk in the sunshine and did a bit of gardening when I got home still in my scruffs.  I planted the rest of the sweet peas (watch this space Lala) and did a bit of weeding.  In for a shower and then breakfast/lunch (mushrooms on toast).

I wanted to spend the afternoon sewing but had two long phone calls which bit into my sewing time.  I thought I had a few more episodes of The Empress only to find I watched the last one last night but there must be a Third Series coming.......

Started watching Gangs of London instead - not sure if I will stick with it - too much violence and swearing but I suppose I shouldn't be suprised 'does what it says on the tin'?

Quick easy dinner then out to pick up M and to go to an Easter wreath making session at her church (she treated me which was kind).  Terribly sad news - she has ANOTHER hernia - but can't operate this time due to all the mesh and previous ops - difficult to find the words as it is painful and has re-percussions.  Hoping she finds the strength to bear this again.

Home to see OH who had a lovely time in Le Touquet golfing - didn't play well but enjoyed the trip.

Day done
