The day after

I find the day after a holiday difficult. But I had to get on with things as I was due to volunteer at the theatre. As its school holidays there are lots of performances suitable for children. Today it was Michael Morpurgo’s Farm Boy. I’ve never read the book but the stage performance was so moving that at one point I cried.

Afterwards I’ve walked home and done some odds and ends in the garden.
