Birthday lunch...
Our late night meant we missed breakfast!
No worries, lunch was booked at the Cart Shed tearoom as an early celebration of LeeAnne's birthday. More sunshine and such a lovely location.
The three of us chose the mug of soup and a toastie combo. The cream of broccoli soup was delicious and the toasties on lovely thick artisan bread (cheddar and red onion for me, Katsu - sando, panko chicken, onion, cheese and Tonkatsu sauce for D and L) were sooooo good. We did give in and have a slice of cake (pistachio and mango) Well, it was an early birthday celebration and you can't have a birthday without cake :-))
A wander round the antique dealers then back to the car and 10 mins up the road for a mooch around Abernyte Art and Antiques centre while D nipped across the A90 to the driving range.
Great wander and LeeAnne managed to pick up a gift for her brother's birthday and a little foot stool to refurbish.
D returned to pick us up then home again and a quick turnaround for D as he was singing with his vocal harmony group this evening along with Kirkintilloch Male Voice Choir. LeeAnne and I got a bit peckish later on so had a light tea of Italian meats, hummus, melon, mint & feta salad, caprese salad and crisps.
D arrived back and left us to carry on our blethers. Not quite as late to bed as last night :-)
