Old Digs
I paid a visit to my old school today, McMinnville High School, to drop off a few of my books. I am possibly going to use their state of the art recording studio to produce an audiobook. I will post more on that in the coming days.
On my way out, I stopped near my old classroom to get a shot of this quilt. It was made in 2010 on the 100th anniversary of the school. Students and staff signed the white squares (my signature is on the second from bottom row, third square, with a peace sign by my name). I always really liked this quilt, and stopped to look at it as I climbed the stairs to my class every day.
The other thing we did on the 100th anniversary was to make a video celebrating those 100 years. I wrote the script for this, and my friend, and former student, Andrew, put together the video. Here it is, only five minutes, and if you look closely, you can see me (briefly) in the mix.
Here’s the video, “Echoes In the Hallway: 100 Years of MHS”
