Sunday on Tuesday

Back story (and a back blip).  Sunday started out in the snow. Yes, snow.  We drove to the east side of the Sandia Mts. to the wee town of Golden intent on hiking.  Imagine our surprise to see several inches of snow on the ground.  It had been cold and windy at the protest, with the threat of rain, but no precip had materialized in ABQ.  We had not looked at the weather forecast for Golden.

With hiking in Golden thwarted, we returned home. It was a spectacular day (see the extras), so I was reluctant to abandon the need to hike. I dropped off the musician then drove (17 minutes) to the volcanoes.  The main photo is the view from where I sat for over an hour, and where, ultimately, I left my phone.. 

I am so sorry for not responding to your blips these last several days.  My eyes have once again been hurting (due to windy, dusty protests and too much screen time), so I have been trying to limit screen time. It's all a matter of balance.
