Colour Change…..

The golds of autumn are gradually edging in. Early this morning I walked to the Burleigh Bridge via the old Pony Club grounds and then returned via the true right bank. I haven’t walked that route for weeks so I was interested to see that quite a lot of work is being carried out by contractors. Old unhealthy willow trees have been removed from some areas and the actual river banks tidied up. The river bed is still bone dry although I know that deep below the shingle the water is still flowing downstream and seawards.
