Cultural Train

Recorder Lesson this morning and I caught the City of Culture Train to Saltaire.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get in position to blip the whole thing but there you go!

My recorder tutor had the decorators in so goodness knows what they made of my tuneless practising!

Afterwards I caught the train, on which sat Tony, to Leeds where we discovered a wonderful stationery and craft supplies shop in Kirkgate.  One to return to for presents I think.  Tony bought his sheets of A3 paper for his project and I a Charley Harper Jigsaw.

From there we went our separate ways to Curry's for printer ink and to Jessops for a new camera tripod and then it was time to have cuppas in Waterstones and buy some books.  I treated myself to two very different ones, both books of the month: 'There are Rivers in the Sky' by Elif Shafak and 'All the Colours of the Dark' by Chris Whitaker.  They will have to join 'Raising Hare' in my book bag as I am still ploughing through Faulks' 'Human Traces' which is trying my patience, but I haven't not finished a book since a Murakami many years ago.

Back in Bingley we lunched at the Craft House before catching the bus home.  It's turned decidedly chilly!
