Cactus flower

The first flower of the spring popped out on my prickly pear cactus. I didn’t notice it until 3:00 so it’s no longer completely open. Prickly pear cacti only bloom for one day. So nice to see the first. It may look a little blurry but that's from all of the pollen.

I was supposed to meet some friends for breakfast but I overslept. Basically just forgot. They called me so I got ready right away and joined them at the restaurant. Felt pretty goofy since I was the organizer.

I’ve been trying to get some things done but my upper back is more painful than usual. Ice seems to help. I’m starting to get things together for my trip to Madera Canyon. I leave Sunday for 5 nights. Really looking forward to it as you might guess.
