Looking up

Today was my son’s 31st birthday. Pretty low key - he went to work, then out for a meal in Plymouth in the evening with my dil. I sent him a pile of second hand books (ones that he wanted!) and it all passed without much fuss or attention.
Meanwhile back in Bristol… I was doing my usual things, feeding a neighbour’s cat, watering the pots in the garden, watering the newly planted things at the allotment too - as it’s so dry, big Tesco shop, zoom with my Orkney friends. Throughout the day the sun shone and everything looked extra lovely.
My walk today had a purpose, down to the station via the riverside path, to pick up a pile of rail tickets for various pre booked journeys over the next few months. Many bluebells and grape hyacinths out, but I think the nicest thing I saw was looking up through these trees. I think the white ones are cherry? But I’m not at all sure what the yellow blossom is, so if you know, please tell me…
