The gin shelf (shelves!) of liquor stores are a real eye-opener these days. Once limited to 10 or so lines, there now seem to be hundreds. After much indecision, I chose a bottle of this Japanese variety. We quickly decided it's much too good to mix with tonic and are keeping it for an occasional night-cap.
