Siblings

The day didn't go quite as originally planned.  Cathy had to drop out of lunch with my siblings, as she had to take a friend to a hospital appointment at short notice.   SoI ended up heading off on my own to lunch with my sister Janet, her husband Incredibish, my brother Brendan and his wife Sarah.  Janet was responsible for the cooking and did us all proud.  I'm not sure that we needed Incredibish's cheese board after the fab rhubarb crumble, but we did our best to show willing.

Feeling that exercise might be a good idea, we headed off along the Little River Avon for a 10+Km walk which helped correct the balance of carbs in vs carbs out somewhat.  The good work was however undone by Janet's excellent fruit scones and home made blackcurrant jam when we got back.  When I finally returned home to Cathy (who had missed out on all of this food goodness) after 7pm I felt as full as an egg (to quote one of my friends.
