Turtle

I had this turtle when I was a kid. You can wind it up and it spins its flippers. For the longest time, it's been missing one back flipper. My mom had taped it over with sturdy band-aid stuff. It's one of those tiny obscure objects in your life that you know really, really well but you never think about them (you know what I mean?).

Anyway.

Reason the turtle is depicted here is that we cleaned the basement today. You can see basement stuff in the back, most prominently the drain that was flooding the other day. So we're helping all the basement dwellers to have a less icky home. Turtle sure looks like she's desperate to get to a better place.
