A fictional story in St Cuthberts time.
The Feast Day of Saint Fulbert of Chartres. Born in Italy in the mid 10th century of humble parents.
Today is very dazzlingly sunny and warm.
14c, feels like 13c. That is from Google weather forecast.
For believers in The Lord Christ Jesus, Lent is a serious time to face your conscience and root out sinful weaknesses.Fasting and giving to your choice of charity is kind too. In this fallen world, humility and honesty is needed to help save souls. Pride and greed, lust and anger, idolatry and deliberate laziness, are to be avoided at all cost. They are tickets to damnation. Salvation by the Cross and Precious Blood of Our Saviour Jesus, is something God planned, as a sign of His merciful love toward humankind.
This book in the photo, was appealing to me, when I read a sample of the story on Kindle.
It is based on and inspired by the life and conversion to Christian monastic life, by St Cuthbert.
Before conversion he was a warrior in 7th century Northumbria. He lived at a serious time, when there were tensions between the Celtic and Roman Catholic Church traditions.
There are three books on the theme. I am so grateful to have found this trilogy, because I love faith books and generally sit indoors in very sunny weather.
I dug out several dandelions from our front lawn. They spread so fast. I respect the fact some people don't dig them out. The washed then boiled leaves can make a good tea.
Thank you for visiting my site today and for your kind stars yesterday.
Take care blip friends.
