Bilbao comes to Glasgow

There was quite a gathering of Athletic Bilbao supporters in George Square this afternoon as I wandered through on my way to the final meeting of the 2024/25 session and AGM of the Architecture & Design Club.  Another lovely sunny day for the Spaniards to enjoy their visit to Glasgow as they play in the Europa League quarter final (this I had to google not knowing anything about football).
The A&D Club talk today was on Art Deco Scotland given by the  exuberant Professor Bruce Peter of Design History at the Glasgow School of Art who has just published a new book on the subject with Historic Environment Scotland. It was very interesting and hugely entertaining and several other blippers were there.
