Ooh, Mammy!
Apart from the usual paper-getting and garden-weeding most of the day was spent cooking. Spiced beef for tacos, dicing and freezing some pork for later cooking, and these things - a mix of ordinary chestnut mushrooms that had been in the low oven for four hours and a big tub of dried (though not quite dry) mushrooms that have been sitting around for a while not being used because no one likes the rubbery texture of rehydrated mushrooms. After the fresh ones were nearly dry, they all went back in the low oven for another two hours to dry out properly before getting bashed to a powder that can go in pretty much anything.
And some sewing. The bag from my bike needed new binding around the edge so I took the flap off, cut off all the old binding and did my best to put on the new stuff. Let's just say that with it being dark blue binding on a black bag, the mistakes won't be very noticeable.
