Tulip Farm

We had thought we might have to stay in all day for a phone call from Re:Cognition Health to follow up Len's condition, but the doctor had some free time this morning and was able to call just after 11 am.

This meant we could go out in the afternoon. A Facebook contact has been posting photos from a tulip farm in Hatton which is only an hour away. Reader, we went.

Tulley's tulip Garden has two sites in the south of England but they've just opened up another on land next to Hatton Garden Centre which I can recommend for a family day out. Lots of activities for kids.

Debbie, the manager, told us this was their first season and they'd had to invest in automatic shooters to keep the badgers and the deer away from the half a million bulbs that were planted.

It was a glorious sight. The photos I took haven't come through yet into Google so I can't show a photo of the field at this stage but there should be one by tomorrow. This is a shot looking across one of the planters towards the windmill.

Tedious getting back. A collision on the Coventry eastern bypass really held us up.

And it was warm! Finally t-shirt weather. A passing gent complimented me on my Turd Reich t-shirt.
