Peanuts in the snow

Today winter returned. We had snow falling most of the afternoon in to the evening. The good thing it was still warm enough that the snow was melting once it hit the ground. I did take a short walk and had a red wing black bird hungry for food. He took a few peanuts from my hand. I have not seen the female redwing black birds arrive yet but I am sure they will return soon.
