Picnic in the Park

Day One of trying to keep an active little boy happy despite many of his favourite things (climbing, swimming, riding his bike) being off limits for the next 4-6 weeks. After a couple of errands, we settled on a picnic in the park near the library followed by searching for and reading about sharks and Lego. C is now the proud owner of his very own library card.

While all of this was going on, my big girl was off getting certified by the Canadian Red Cross as a trained babysitter. It seems like yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital as a newborn; how can it possibly be that she is preparing to look after other people's babies????
