Minghua's had a lick of paint

As part of the redevelopment of Shekou's Sea World (Hai Shang Shi Jie) the Minghua's undergoing a refit and facelift and he recently had a new coat of gleaming white paint applied.

There is a dragonfly in the left of the picture that fleetingly hovered into view and in the distance a new skyscraper and a new Hilton hotel that is projected to open its doors before the year end.

Over the next few months, after a few years of work, this area will finally start to take shape and the shallow pond surrounding the Mingua will be filled with water, alas, with no navigable route to the sea!
