Thank you Tony

Abby (my niece) and I went out to The Red Barn for lunch today. I knew that Tony the peacock had been displaying lately but I hadn't managed to catch him at it. After lunch we went to feed the animals and I got some great images of Abby hand-feeding the deer, goats, alpacas, ostriches and horses. I was perfectly happy that there was something blippable amongst them so wasn't concerned about Tony refusing to perform for me.

Then, when we were heading back up to the cafe, Tony did his thing. Right beside me too! I had my zoom lens on and had to keep backing away to get him in the frame.

After that I took photos of Abby jumping out of trees, and then when we were leaving Janet (the owner) offered to show me the baby quails. Off I went to see them and Abby wandered off to climb more trees. Seeing she was occupied I took the time to indulge in another coffee, during which Tony came along, twice more, and displayed.

Today was definitely a blip gift and a hard choice - but in the end I've gone with my first captures of Tony's season. This is the third season I've blipped him now - expect plenty more of him throughout the spring!
