reflections of Lincoln

we drove to Lincoln this morning and spent a lovely day with our grand daughter who s as Uni there. she finishes in may and we went primarily to pock up some of her accumataled rubbish items as her dad wouldn't b e able to fit it all in his car. 
It was lovely day and she gave us a quick tour of Lincoln with the highlight for Alan being the clock shop. It was run by a very nice gentleman who talked at length about his business. we then walked back to the car park via the Uni complex past the large turbines in the engineering faculty.
I had not realised the history of Lincoln and how far it goes back. it was a roman legionnaire post. Claudius himself went ther in Ad 45?
