Protect the eggs at all costs!

Travelled back home to Lincoln today after work to spend the weekend before going down to Swindon for a week to see Sophia's dad and brother. Sophia is already there.

My packing includes several easter eggs to gift my parents, Sanjay (Sophia's dad) and Salva (her brother), but the temperature today reached 21°c! I decided to bring the freezer bag in anticipation of the hot weather, including and ice pack which I didn't have the foresight to freeze. It seemed to do the trick but when I checked on the eggs in the afternoon (they were in my car but I had the windows down as it was in the car park) it felt like they were starting to melt. The office wasn't exactly cool either (I had the aircon on and a fan on and was still sweating), so I layed the bag down and pointed the fan inside of it! It definitely helped, but at the cost of me being absolutely roasting.

I had the ice pack in the work fridge (which is very cold!) along with some oat and almond milk I didn't have time to finish which would help keep the eggs cool on the way back, but I couldn't close the bag when it was time to go, and I had an hour and a half drive, plus a visit Subway, so I had little hopes of the eggs making it to Lincoln not in puddle form. Miraculously, though, they are fine!

And thus the saga of the eggs comes to a close. Riveting stuff.
