Bridgnorth High Town
Whilst Mrs I kindly offered to do the weekly shop at Aldi, in Bridgnorth, I had the arduous task of walking the mean streets of Bridgnorth Low Town and capturing the sights across the River Severn. Such a hard life.
In the main is a general view across the river looking up to High Town. In the lower foreground can be seen Bishop Percy's House and tea rooms. A fine example of a half timbered medieval building with a fascinating history, and blipped before. On the skyline towering above the tiered ranks of historic houses can be seen the prominent tower of St. Leonard's Church. An iconic feature on an iconic skyline!
In the extra you will see the recently restored Cliff Railway and tea rooms. To the left you might see the walkway which offers visitors a stunning and panoramic view over Bridgnorth Low Town and the river valley. On a day like today it all looks quite fantastic. No wonder it is such a popular destination for sightseers and tourists. I am one of them and I love it!
