OENOTHERA speciosa
Yesterday, I saw the wild Lupines blooming & wanted to photograph them today;
but, I saw this perennial herb with a single bloom. Change of plans.
This pretty flower, is native to the US & Mexico, but only in areas without harsh winters. So they are considered a wildflower.
This is a good example of why we use the Latin name for plants. This beauty goes
by many names, including:
-Pinkladies
-Buttercups
-Pink Evening Primrose
-Mexican Primrose
Maybe next Flower Friday I will
post the wild Lupines.
