Spring water colours

This high water table (a pond really) varies each year.  It can vary by week:  from dry to 2m in depth.  It's donut shaped, several acres in size.
---
It made for great skating when the kids were young - safe, sheltered and more fun than a rink.  We would pick a bush, add wood and make a campfire you could skate by or warm up at.
---
In Spring, ice in ponds and trapped water can make the wildest aquamarine colours, bested only by lakes in the Rockies (thinking Peyto Lake Alberta).
---
The cedar logs are left from the 2022 derecho winds that flattened this particular area of our property. It was totally sheltered by trees prior.
