Progress

It was an up and down day yesterday - we were getting constant updates about Martin - Simon's brother. Simon went over to see him, also to collect his dad who had stayed the night and to take Martins wife and son. Si said M looked terrible - he had woke with a headache after the little sleep he had. He was moved to QE at 5am which sent everyone into a panic as to why at that time.

Si took his Dad and nephew to Frankies for lunch while Martin had more tests. Simons nephew then came home with us and spent the day with us.

They diagnosed a brain aneurysm. The consultant then told them of the third of operations that are not successful........you can imagine the reaction. We found out late last night from the nurse dealing with Martin that they do lots of Ops like the one he needs and really everything will be fine. They will go in through his groin with an op called an Endovascular Coiling which will block the flow of blood into the aneurysm. This is happening on Monday.

Simon told me to still go out as planned with the girls but I decided I wanted to be with him, I'm glad I did. To keep his mind off stuff we put together the cot and dresser in the nursery x x

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Hopefully we are on the home straight and tomorrow's ops will put everyone's minds at rest
